Jenna Benedon
Relation: Katie’s Older Sister
Birthday: April 3rd, 1984
Katie’s older sister, Jenna, is an accomplished cheerleader. When she was 4 years old, she began her career as a gymnast and a dancer. Unfortunately, she suffered a severe wrist injury when she was 13. She decided to use her skills in dance and tumbling towards cheerleading. When Katie was a freshman and became a cheerleader, her big sis was a junior and already a member of the varsity team. Although the Calabasas squad did not compete, Jenna won first place at the USA National Cheerleading Championships at the Anaheim Convention Center in April of 2001 on the All-Star Elite California Flyers team. Having won, Jenna’s team was the nation s best all-around All-Star athletic cheerleaders. The following year, Jenna became captain of the varsity squad as senior. Jenna has a long list of cheer accomplishments. She appeared in a televised Hollywood Christmas Parade after she beat out hundreds of girls and became one of the top three individual cheerleaders at the United States Spirit Association s Elite All-Star Camp at Stanford University. Also, during the National Cheerleading Association’s summer camp in 2001, she was one of the few who exemplified the best cheerleading standards during All American try-outs despite being injured. Shaun Paul Cassidy
Relation: Katie’s Uncle
Shaun was born on September 27, 1958, and traveled with his parents when he was only six months old while they were doing shows. His parents were stage and screen actors Shirley Jones and Jack Cassidy who were both heavily involved in the business. When he was a pre-teen, he started a band called "Every Mothers Dream" and when his mother and half-brother, David Cassidy, were both starring in a musical TV sitcom called "The Partridge Family" (1970), he asked his mom to put him in some episodes. However, she refused as she wanted to encourage him to concentrate on his schooling. He did appear as part of the chorus in many musical theatre productions. In 1972, he then sang in a punk rock band called "The Longfellow," which was short-lived, as his parents transferred him to a private school in Beverly Hills. (Courtesy to IMDB)

Jack Cassidy
Relation: Katie’s Grandpa
Jack Cassidy (March 5, 1927 – December 12, 1976) was an American actor, who achieved success in theater, cinema and television. His frequent professional persona was that of an urbane, super-confident egotist with a dramatic flair, much in the manner of Broadway actor Frank Fay. Cassidy perfected this character to such an extent that he was cast as the legendary John Barrymore in the feature film W. C. Fields and Me. Cassidy turned down the role of Ted Baxter in The Mary Tyler Moore Show, appearing instead as a guest star in a very memorable episode as Ted’s highly competitive and equally egocentric brother, Hal.
