Katie is scoring roles left and right! She will be one of the lead roles in the new remake of Nightmare on Elm Street. It will be shooting in Chicago starting next month and I am so jealous of Ana who will probably get to meet her :-( Girl needs to come to New York! What celebrity doesn’t?!
Freddy Krueger will have his hands full in the new ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’, especially with the latest member to join the cast.
Actress Katie Cassidy has taken the role of “Kris” in the Samuel Bayer-directed reboot of Wes Craven’s ‘84 slasher film. She’s the second female lead to sign aboard after Rooney Mara. Kyle Gallner, Thomas Dekker and Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger also star.
Cassidy is no stranger to ‘Supernatural’ fans. She had a good run on the CW horror series as the demon Ruby. Prior to that stint she played the final girl in the ‘Black Christmas’ remake and was recently seen kidnapped in the Liam Neeson-starring hit ‘Taken’. Television viewers can also find her on ‘Harper’s Island’.
‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ begins rolling next month in the Chicago area and hits theaters on April 16, 2010. (Source)
By the way – I am so sorry updates have been really slow for the past few days. I’ve had a lot of things going on at home and couldn’t get to a computer! If you haven’t heard, yes, it is true, Harpers Island is moved to Saturday nights at 9pm instead of it’s original Thursday night slot. Why? Well, instead of CBS cancelling the show, they decided to give it a new night. Basically, it’s ratings are high, but not on Thursday nights. Most people are DVRing (TiVoing) it, as well as tuning in online to watch the episodes. It will finish out the ten episodes, just on Saturday nights now. I don’t know how they think moving it to Saturday will improve it because more people go out on Saturday nights rather than Thursdays… but I’m not the TV professional so we’ll see!

I’m not sure if these are two days, but both sets appeared on websites on different days so I am going to assume they were shooting the same scenes. If not, just use the two different albums. Well folks, look like we hav a dream come true… PAPARAZZI LOVE OUR GIRL! They took pictures of Katie on set of Melrose Place yesterday in I’m guessing… LA? Not sure on that one, but lets hope that they keep getting snap shots of her! Just… not annoy her Britney Spears paparazzi style.
